Ashland is located only thirty minutes from Medford, and this AVA is more than worth a visit! This wine region is situated directly in between two more well-known wine regions, Willamette to the North and Napa to the South. It has characteristics of both worlds but is noteworthy on its own! Rouge Valley offers a plethora of affordable wineries and activities suitable for any type of trip or anyone’s wine palate. If you are in Southern Oregon (or visiting Crater Lake), please give one of the country’s most underrated wine valleys a chance!

Quady North is truly a unique winery: great wines, great vibes, great staff, and affordable prices. This winery is a must visit! On my trip to Ashland, I learned about this winery through my hotel’s wine bar and made it my last stop before returning home. They have beautifully bold and vibrant reds, crisp and decadent whites, and an unforgettable rose! If you are looking for the quality of Napa or Willamette Valley with the laidback atmosphere of a ranch with the price to match, then Quady North is the place to go!
